As part of any teacher preparation program, TSPC requires that candidates complete the fingerprint process with background checks by the Oregon State Police (OSP) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). \u00a0The information below provides you with step by step instructions on how to complete the required fingerprinting processes.<\/p>\n
NOTE:\u00a0If you’ve already completed fingerprints and are employed by a district as an instructional assistant,\u00a0YOU WILL NEED TO COMPLETE FINGERPRINTS AGAIN<\/span> through the process outlined below. \u00a0<\/strong>If you are already a licensed teacher, it is not necessary for you to complete this process again.<\/span><\/p>\n Please follow the TSPC eLicensing link by clicking here \u00a0to complete the fingerprint application. \u00a0See instructions below. \u00a0You can also find instructions and FAQs on the TSPC website.<\/p>\n Step-by-Step instructions:<\/strong><\/span> 2. Sign up for an account by completing the information on the right side of the page. You’ll need to enter a username and a password. \u00a0Once you’ve entered a username and a password, click on the \u00a0SIGN UP<\/strong><\/span> button.<\/p>\n 3. \u00a0Fill out the Login information, complete the security questions, and provide TSPC with your full legal name. \u00a0Click on the CONTINUE<\/span><\/strong> button. \u00a0At this point you should receive a message from the website that reads\u00a0“You have successfully registered!<\/span>” Click on the green BACK TO HOME<\/span><\/strong> button.<\/p>\n 4. \u00a0Log in to the site by using the Username and Password you created in Step 2.<\/p>\n 5. \u00a0Complete the “Record Connect” information (including date of birth and social security number) and click on the\u00a0CONNECT & CONTINUE<\/span><\/strong> button.<\/p>\n 6. When you are directed to the TSPC Dashboard, you will want to click on the green\u00a0SUBMIT NEW APPLICATION<\/span> button\u00a0<\/strong>upper right corner of the page.<\/p>\n 7. Confirm that the upper right section for application status indicates that you are applying for a NEW license.<\/p>\n 8. \u00a0In the\u00a0WHAT CATEGORY OF LICENSE WOULD YOU LIKE TO APPLY FOR?<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>section, use the drop-down arrow on the right side of the page and select\u00a0<\/span>CLINICAL PRACTICES<\/span><\/span>. 9. \u00a0In the\u00a0LICENSE HISTORY QUESTIONNAIRE<\/strong>, leave all three options unchecked. Click on the CONTINUE<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>button.<\/p>\n 10. For most candidates, you will leave the +Add a License section blank and click the CONTINUE<\/strong><\/span> button from this screen.<\/p>\n 11. \u00a0If you have held a teaching license in the past, you may enter it on the Work History section. \u00a0If you have NOT held a teaching license before, click on the CONTINUE<\/strong><\/span> button.<\/p>\n 12. \u00a0On the Education History screen, enter any degrees you have completed. \u00a0An example would be an AA degree from a community college. \u00a0Click on the 13. \u00a0On the Application for Licensure screen, you will confirm that you have selected the correct licensure information.\u00a0 In the Application Information box, confirm that “Clearance” is listed in the Licence, Certificate<\/span> drop-down box. Enter Pacific University in the University Currently Enrolled At drop-down box.<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>You will not be selecting any endorsements or specializations on this page. \u00a0You will select those when you’ve finished the program and are ready to apply for your license.\u00a0Click on the CONTINUE<\/strong><\/span> button. 14. \u00a0Answer the character questions and click on the CONTINUE<\/span><\/strong> button.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n 15. \u00a0Complete the\u00a0Statement of Professionalism<\/em> screen by clicking the button in the Please acknowledge<\/strong> section. \u00a0Then click on the AGREE & CONTINUE<\/strong> <\/span>button.<\/p>\n 16. Complete the Electronic Signature page by clicking the button in the\u00a0Please acknowledge\u00a0<\/strong>section and by typing in your full legal name in the\u00a0Please sign\u00a0<\/strong>section of the page. \u00a0Click on the CONTINUE<\/span><\/strong> button.<\/p>\n 17.
