Matt Drenik of Austin band <strong>Lions<\/strong> has had his portion of hardships, including being diagnosed with Uveitis, an immune disease that distresses his eyes. Rather than letting it bring him down, he took his hardship and turned it into music. Today, that music is released under the moniker of <strong>Battleme<\/strong>, and it\u2019s 10 songs of straight feeling, on the rocks with two olives.<\/p>\n<p>In the initial track \u201cCloser,\u201d Drenik shakily croons \u201cIt\u2019s do or die and everybody knows it.\u201d It\u2019s a call to action people, you hear the man! Battleme gratifies both ends of a music listener\u2019s soul. It has the tranquility on songs like \u201cDoin\u2019 Time in my Head Ain\u2019t Cheap\u201d and \u201cKiller High,\u201d but it also has the spiny edge on \u201cShoot the Noise, Man\u201d and the album\u2019s single \u201cTouch.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This album is a yellow post-it note on your bagged lunch, personally written by Battleme, that reminds you music saves.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #13260d;font-family: arial\"><span style=\"color: #13260d;font-family: arial\"><a href=\"http:\/\/battleme.tv\/\">Website<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is a fun video.
