Produced by\u00a0Dan Romer (Ingrid Michelson), the band\u2019s third LP features 13 tracks and is described as \u201cambitious\u201d by a press release. Judging from the album\u2019s tracklist, four tracks have been performed live, all of which you can preview below.<\/p>\n<p>To support the release, the band will hit the road for most of March, which (naturally) includes a handful of gigs at <a href=\"http:\/\/festival-outlook.consequenceofsound.net\/fests\/view\/675\/south-by-southwest\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">South by Southwest<\/a>, the likes of which are fully detailed in the itinerary below. Stay tuned as more surfaces.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jukebox the Ghost\u2019s<\/strong> (Ben Thornewill\/piano, Tommy Siegel\/guitar, Jesse Kristinalbum\/drums) third album <em><strong>Safe Travels<\/strong><\/em>, the ambitious follow up to their 2010 breakout, was produced by <strong>Dan Romer<\/strong> (Ingrid Michelson) and features 13 new, original tracks.<\/p>\n<p>Relocating from Philadelphia to New York City and playing over 250 shows since they\u2019re last release, <em><strong>Safe Travels <\/strong><\/em>marks a shift in the band\u2019s creative trajectory. \u201cWe\u2019ve always been the band that juxtaposes darker lyrics with upbeat music, but this record feels a little more personal,\u201d Thornewill explains. \u201cIn the grand scheme of things, it\u2019s certainly not a downer record but you need pain to get joy and joy to get pain; they\u2019re inseperable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After the release of 2010\u2032s<em><strong> Everything Under the Sun<\/strong><\/em>, <strong>Jukebox The Ghost\u2019s <\/strong>fanbase exploded as the band played hundreds of shows and headlined the largest venues of their career, including a packed house at DC\u2019s legendary 930 Club and NY\u2019s Brooklyn Bowl.
