They\u2019ve taken the debut\u2019s cavernous sounds and exploded them: The melodies are sharper, the song structures more concise and Grobler\u2019s vocals more assured. In fact, we haven\u2019t heard a male pop vocalist sing his heart out this way since the \u201980s.<\/p>\n<p>First single, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.idolator.com\/7612437\/st-lucia-dancing-on-glass-listen-first-new-single-two-years\">\u201cDancing On Glass\u201d<\/a> is an earworm of hooks and choral vocals. Throughout<em>Matter<\/em>, the details actually do matter: A funky, <strong>Prince<\/strong>-like guitar and falsetto breakdown midway through <a href=\"http:\/\/www.idolator.com\/7616901\/st-lucia-sophomore-album-matter-cover-art-tracklist\">\u201cPhysical,\u201d<\/a> layers of shimmer glazed over \u201cStay,\u201d or the sweet final minute (\u201cgo find me somebody to love!\u201d) of the album\u2019s lone midtempo,<a href=\"http:\/\/www.idolator.com\/7619511\/st-lucia-love-somebody-listen-matter-single\">\u201cLove Somebody.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Matter_(album)\">Wiki<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is one of those songs that just gets ya.
