Teen Mom – I Wanna Go Out

This is interesting. Enjoy. I don’t want to say much. Footage is from “La Boum” (1980).

Minerals – Fast Forward (Weekly Highlight!)

Brilliant beginning of a song. Fades a bit but what a great song overall! Great video too!

Minerals – White Tones (2012)

If you know Polish:

To bedzie najbardziej klimatyczny debiut 2012 roku!

Rhye – The Fall

This is a good song. Like really good. However, it falls under the 2013 category even though all the top 100 songs list it on there (Pitchfork, Etc.). It won’t be on my list this year, but maybe next year.

Peace – Bloodsnake

They have a sweet sound but they definitely look like they came straight from the late 80’s. It says parental advisory but it’s all clean.

Arts Martial – Running

From down under, this is a newer band that has a good sound! Enjoy!

Arts Martial – Promises Will Get You Nowhere (2012)

A Bit About:

A favourite of the Perth live scene, this four-piece have been earning recognition (as well as Triple J airplay) lately for their catchy-as-hell singles ‘Running’ and ‘Rule The World’. Debut album Promises…, produced by Melbourne’s Tom Larkin (Calling All Cars, King Cannons) follows in a similar fashion.

Refreshingly intelligent lyrics, near flawless musical synchronicity and killer guitar riffs (not to mention the ballsy solo in ‘Outer Space’) make this a consistently engaging record.

Highlights include the somewhat menacing but nevertheless danceable ‘Brew Like Bitter’ and the bouncy, borderline dance-punk anthem ‘Super National’.

From the EP Radical Face – Always Gold (2012)

Blurbish:

Radical Face, always one to tackle new album concepts, looks to be continuing the trend with their upcoming EP. The band’s 2011 full-length release, The Family Tree: The Roots, was the first part of a trilogy chronicling the lives of the fictional Northcote family.

Paste has an exclusive look at the new video for the song “Always Gold.” It’s the lead track from Radical Face’s new EP, Always Gold, which will be released Oct. 23. The video, made for less than $50, tells the story of two brothers. According to a statement from lead singer Ben Cooper, the video speaks from the point of view of one brother “who is always around to clean up the other’s messes.
